March 2027

Actions

Primary objective: Teach students and document whether the program reaches its intended audience.

Implementation

  • I can deliver the lesson to several approved Grade 3 to Grade 5 classes. Each session should follow the same structure so results remain comparable.

  • I will ask a supervising adult:

    • Date

    • Grade level

    • Number of participants

    • Lesson duration

    • Activities completed

    • Questions students asked

    • Technical problems

    • Teacher’s observations

    •

Student Engagement

Invite each participant to choose a practical freshwater-protection action, such as:

  • Reducing disposable plastic near waterways

  • Keeping litter out of drains

  • Teaching a family member about amphibians

  • Joining an approved stream cleanup

  • Reporting wildlife trade concerns to an adult

  • Avoiding wildlife purchases

  • Respecting protected habitats

Second Habitat Observation

Return to the same freshwater site under similar procedures. Record seasonal changes and investigate what caused them.

March Deliverables

  • Completed educational sessions

  • Participation records

  • Teacher feedback forms

  • Student question bank

  • Second habitat observation

  • Revised lesson based on classroom experience
